Rehabilitation & Intermediate CareWest Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, located on the same campus as West Hills Village, provides two levels of care – Rehabilitation for skilled nursing and intermediate care for long-term living when a person is no longer suitable for assisted living. First, rehab or skilled nursing attends patients just leaving the hospital and needing help to get back on their feet. Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy step in to provide exercise, encouragement and skills to bring back health. Around the clock, nurses supervise care, med aides deliver medications, and certified nurses aides assist with the activities of daily living. West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center accepts Medicare and most insurances. Next, when patients need the highest levels of nursing care, intermediate care (which previously was called convalescent or nursing home care) meets those needs. Whether bedridden, needing wheelchair assistance, or special nursing, West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center staff will give the TLC your loved one needs at their end of life. For intermediate care, West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center accepts private pay, Medicaid, and long term care insurance policies. The West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center activity program supports varying interests, needs and attention spans. Meals can be delivered to the room or patients can join others in a common dining room. Amenities
