I discovered my passion for working with the elderly when at the age of 22 I became a Certified Nursing Assistant caring for individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Since that time, I have worked in the long-term care environment in several capacities, and furthered my education in the area of human aging.

I possess a graduate degree in the field of Gerontology and licensure in the State of Oregon as a Nursing Home Administrator. I am active with several educational and advocacy groups with the aging services sector and hope to inspire more positive attitudes towards aging and long-term care. I am the current Treasure of Housecall Providers Inc. and immediate Past-President of Oregon Gerontological Association.

In my free time I like visiting used bookstores and hiking in the beautiful State of Oregon.
